This page explains how tools get added to AlverHub, how they're scored and ranked, and how we handle sponsored content — so you know exactly what you're looking at.

How tools are added

Tools reach AlverHub two ways: an admin-reviewed public submission form, or automated imports from real, structured sources (GitHub lists, CSV/JSON feeds, RSS feeds). Every import is checked for duplicates against the existing catalog before it's added — by exact name/domain match, fuzzy name similarity, and semantic similarity — so the same tool is never listed twice under different names.

How tools are scored

Every tool gets a deterministic Quality Score (0–100), computed from real, observable signals: whether it has a real description, logo, and screenshots; how many reviews it has and its average rating; whether its website is currently reachable; how many users have bookmarked it; real view/click activity; whether it lists social links; and how recently it was updated. This score is never a subjective opinion or an AI-generated rating — it's a transparent formula anyone could recompute from the same data.

How tools are ranked

Default rankings blend the Quality Score with real popularity, freshness, and engagement signals. Search results are ranked by relevance to your query first — exact and partial name matches outrank everything else — with quality and popularity used only as tie-breakers within the same relevance tier.

Reviews

Reviews and ratings are written by real users and reflect their own opinions, not AlverHub's. A tool's displayed rating and review count are computed live from its actual approved reviews.

Sponsored content and affiliate links

Some listings are paid placements. They are always visibly labeled "Sponsored" or "Featured" and are never mixed into organic ranking positions — a sponsored placement never changes a tool's Quality Score or its position in an unsponsored ranking. Some outbound links are affiliate links, disclosed in our Terms of Service; we may earn a commission with no extra cost to you, and this never influences which tools we list or how they're scored.

Corrections

If you spot outdated or inaccurate information on a listing (wrong pricing, dead link, wrong logo), let us know and we'll review and correct it.
