Agent Skills is a collection of production-grade engineering skills for AI coding agents, packaged so that agents follow the same workflows, quality gates, and best practices a senior engineer would use, consistently, across every phase of development. It maps to eight slash commands spanning the full development lifecycle — /spec, /plan, /build, /test, /review, /webperf, /code-simplify, and /ship — with individual skills that also activate automatically based on context, so designing an API triggers its API-design skill and building UI triggers its frontend-engineering skill without being invoked manually. A /build auto mode can generate the plan and implement every task in one approved pass for fewer manual steps, while still keeping each task test-driven and individually committed, and still pausing on failures or risky steps rather than skipping verification. It installs via a CLI (`npx skills add addyosmani/agent-skills`) that supports over 70 agents, including Claude Code, Cursor, Codex, and GitHub Copilot, with a native marketplace install available specifically for Claude Code.
