AWEAR, made by AWEAR Technologies Inc. in collaboration with Stanford Medicine and UCSF, is a wearable EEG device — worn discreetly behind the ear — that tracks stress, focus, and emotional state in real time and alerts users when stress rises, before it becomes overwhelming. Its research-grade ear-EEG sensing feeds an iOS app (Android on the roadmap) that shows patterns in focus, recovery, and emotional balance over time, in a fingertip-sized, screen-free, strap-free design meant to be genuinely unobtrusive rather than an obvious headset.
