Edit Mind, built by Ilias Shad and accepted into the Founders Inc Canopy Program 2026, transforms video footage into a searchable knowledge base using AI, analyzing every frame, transcribing audio, and identifying scenes so editors can locate specific moments across hours of footage in seconds. Audio transcription provides full-text searchable transcripts with timecoded spoken words, frame analysis offers object detection, face recognition, on-screen text reading, and scene descriptions, and local-first storage keeps all data on the user's machine with nothing uploaded to the cloud. Editor integration provides direct plugin support for Final Cut Pro and DaVinci Resolve, natural language search finds any moment across an entire footage library, and two access paths offer a desktop app or a free self-hosted Docker option.
