Loomal, currently in beta, is a payments infrastructure platform that enables AI agents to purchase directly from online stores and APIs, functioning as a checkout layer specifically designed for machine-to-machine transactions using cryptocurrency. It implements the x402 Payment Protocol, converting HTTP's '402 Payment Required' status into an actual payment mechanism, with simple integration letting developers wrap any HTTP endpoint or MCP tool with just five lines of code. Loomal offers multi-agent compatibility working with Claude, GPT, Gemini, LangChain, CrewAI, and other AI frameworks, direct settlement where payments clear on-chain via USDC on the Base blockchain within seconds, and cryptographic verification generating signed Ed25519 receipts for auditable transactions. It also offers a hosting option for users without their own servers. Shopify and WooCommerce integrations are marked coming soon, while API paywalls and MCP tools are available now.
