Waypoint-1.5, from Overworld AI, enables the creation and exploration of AI-generated interactive worlds that run in real time on consumer hardware rather than requiring large GPU clusters. Dual model tiers offer both 720p versions for high-performance systems and 360p versions for broader hardware compatibility, and real-time performance generates environments at up to 720p resolution and 60 frames per second locally. Efficient architecture uses optimized video modeling techniques to reduce computational redundancy across frames, expanded training data trained on nearly 100 times more data than the previous version improves coherence and motion consistency, and responsive environments react instantly to player input. Deployment is available as local software via the Biome runtime installer or browser-based streaming via Overworld.stream.
