Wring

Wring, built by indie developer Ashwani Gupta, is a macOS menu bar application providing quick access to 12 common developer utilities without requiring internet connectivity or cloud accounts. The included tools cover a JWT inspector, regex tester, hash generator, encoder/decoder, JSON formatter, text diff, timestamp converter, cron parser, color converter, UUID generator, .env manager, and load monitor. Users can customize tool ordering, pin favorites, and switch between tools using keyboard shortcuts. All processing happens locally on the Mac with no network access, no user accounts, no analytics, and no telemetry, and secrets are stored in the macOS Keychain with optional biometric protection. Wring is a one-time purchase of $4.99 on the Mac App Store, with no subscription, and requires macOS 26 or later.
