Agentscope

AgentScope is an open-source framework, released by Alibaba, for building multi-agent LLM applications using an "agent-oriented programming" approach — treating individual AI agents as the core programming abstraction, with built-in support for message passing and coordination between agents working together on a task, rather than requiring a developer to build that coordination logic from scratch. It's designed with practical multi-agent development concerns in mind: fault tolerance so that one agent's failure doesn't necessarily bring down an entire multi-agent workflow, and tooling aimed at making multi-agent systems easier to debug and monitor than a loosely coordinated set of independent LLM calls would be. Being released by a large technology company's research organization, it's built with production-oriented reliability concerns alongside the more research-focused multi-agent frameworks common in the space. AgentScope is aimed at developers building applications that require multiple coordinating AI agents — workflows where different agents handle different sub-tasks and need to communicate and hand off work reliably — rather than single-agent applications where a simpler framework would suffice. It's open source and requires integrating it directly into your own application code.
