AnythingLLM

AnythingLLM is a private AI assistant that runs entirely on the user's own computer, with no required account, API key, or token limits, built by Mintplex Labs and released as MIT-licensed open-source software. It lets users chat with their own documents, run web research, and build automated workflows locally, with a Meeting Assistant that automatically transcribes and summarizes meetings, and "Magic Features" like intelligent dictation and autocomplete. Beyond individual desktop use (available on macOS, Windows, and Linux), it supports multi-user organizational deployments and is used internally by companies including Merck, Nokia, and Oracle, with a developer API and custom agent skills for extending it further. The desktop app is free to download.
