Codesight

codesight is an open-source, zero-dependency command-line tool that generates AI-ready context about a codebase so coding assistants like Claude Code, Cursor, GitHub Copilot, and OpenAI Codex don't have to spend tokens re-discovering a project's structure at the start of every conversation. It runs via a single `npx codesight` command with no configuration, API keys, or setup, using full AST parsing for TypeScript projects and regex-based detection across 30+ frameworks and 14 ORMs for other supported languages (JavaScript, Python, Go, Ruby, Elixir, Java, Kotlin, Rust, PHP, Dart, Swift, C#, and BrightScript). Beyond a one-shot context dump, it can generate a persistent "wiki" knowledge base of a codebase's architecture, auth flow, database models, and UI components — compiled from AST analysis rather than an LLM, in about 200ms — write tool-specific config files (CLAUDE.md, .cursorrules, codex.md, AGENTS.md), run as an MCP server exposing 14 tools, or compute the "blast radius" of changing a specific file.
