Micro Agent

Micro Agent, developed and maintained by Builder.io, is an open-source tool that generates reliable code by using unit tests as guardrails, creating tests first and then iteratively writing code until all tests pass rather than producing code that often needs debugging. It converts natural language function descriptions into working code, automatically generates tests based on requirements, and iteratively refines code until tests pass. It supports JavaScript, TypeScript, Python, and other languages, with integration potential alongside Builder.io's Visual Copilot for UI generation. It requires an OpenAI API key and is installed via npm.
