About Nimbalyst

Nimbalyst is an open-source, MIT-licensed visual workspace that integrates AI coding agents like Claude Code and Codex with collaborative editing tools for code, markdown, mockups, diagrams, and tasks in one environment. It manages parallel agent sessions on a kanban board, shows visible file diffs for reviewing and approving AI edits before they're applied, and includes integrated task tracking and collaborative document editing. An extension system allows custom editors, and it runs local-first with open file formats across macOS, Windows, Linux, and iOS. Nimbalyst is completely free for individual users with no feature limitations, working with an existing Claude Code or Codex subscription or API key; Nimbalyst Teams (collaboration features) was in beta, and enterprise plans with self-hosted collaboration servers are available.
