Remodex

Remodex, created by developer Emanuele-web04 and released as open-source software under the Apache 2.0 license, enables remote control of Codex (an AI coding agent) from an iPhone or Android device, letting users steer their Mac-based Codex agent through a secure, encrypted connection. It provides remote agent control to manage Codex instructions from a phone, end-to-end encryption using X25519, Ed25519, and AES-256-GCM, and git integration for commit, push, pull, branch, and status operations from mobile. SSH capability opens native sessions with key material stored in the iOS Keychain, real-time response streaming gives instant feedback from the Mac bridge, and a self-hosting option lets users deploy their own relay server or run locally via Tailscale. Remodex is free and open source, requiring Node.js 18+ and an existing Codex installation.
