Xcode

Xcode, made by Apple Inc., is the integrated development environment for creating, testing, and distributing applications across Apple's platforms, including iOS, iPadOS, macOS, tvOS, visionOS, and watchOS. It includes predictive code completion powered by on-device machine learning, support for large language models from Anthropic and OpenAI, and coding agents that help write code, documentation, and fix errors. Xcode offers live preview of SwiftUI, UIKit, and AppKit views, a simulator for testing across devices and OS versions, the Swift Testing framework and XCTest for automation, and Xcode Cloud for continuous integration and delivery with parallel automated testing. Debugging tools include breakpoints, memory inspection, and the Instruments tool for real-time CPU, memory, GPU, and disk performance analysis. Xcode is free with a Mac, available via the App Store or as beta versions.
