AI2sql

AI2SQL is a schema-aware text-to-SQL tool that converts plain-English questions into working SQL queries by reading a database's actual live schema, rather than requiring a user to paste table structures into a generic chat window. It writes queries in the correct dialect for the target database — including PostgreSQL, MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle, Snowflake, and BigQuery — and can run the generated query itself, returning rows rather than just the SQL text. Beyond text-to-SQL, it can explain existing queries, optimize query performance, format SQL, generate data-insight angles for a dataset, and answer questions about an uploaded CSV. AI2SQL is read-only by default, refusing writes, DROP statements, and other DDL unless explicitly configured otherwise, and positions itself against general chat assistants specifically on this point: knowing the real schema, targeting the right SQL dialect, executing the query, and enforcing read-only safety by default.
