Vibe Island, built by Edward Luo and launched in 2026, monitors AI coding agents directly from a Mac's notch, letting users stay in flow while agents keep working without context-switching between terminals and editors. Multi-agent support integrates with 26 AI coding tools including Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, and Cursor in a unified interface, GUI approvals let users review and approve permission requests directly from the notch, and terminal navigation provides precise jumping to specific tabs and split panes across 20+ terminal emulators. Sound and visual alerts use 8-bit synthesized sounds for events, local privacy keeps everything on the Mac with no cloud or telemetry, and the native Swift app uses under 100MB RAM on Apple Silicon.
